DSL provider Hansenet (Alice) is offering more favorable conditions to landline and DSL subscribers who have also booked the mobile internet tariff “Mobile Surf-Flat”. While before this tariff option held just 300 MB data volume per month in store for notebook, netbook or smartphone users, the “Mobile Surf-Flat” has now become a real flat rate tariff with unlimited data volume for transmissions over the network of O2 Germany. However, there is a data volume limit of 300 MB per month for transfers with EDGE, UMTS or HSPA speed of up to 7.2 mbps (download). Once this limit has been exceeded, the maximum transfer speed will be reduced to GPRS level for the remaining days of that specific month.

Hansenet offers landline and DSL subscriptions with a short minimum term of just one month or with a minimum term of 24 months. For example, the “Alice Fun” tariff comes with a landline and a DSL connection with data transfer speeds of up to 16 mbps (download) and flat rate tariffs for accessing the internet and for making landline calls to other German home phones. The monthly charge for “Alice Fun” amounts to EUR 29.90. New customers choosing the “Alice Fun” plan with a short minimum term also pay an one-time set-up fee of EUR 39.90 and will receive a new DSL modem for EUR 9.90.

The mobile internet option “Mobile Surf-Flat” is available with a short minimum term of just one month as well and costs additional EUR 6.90 per month. There is also an additional set-up fee of EUR 19.90 per SIM card (customers may order up to four SIM cards, for example, for other family members). The SIM card can also be used for mobile phone calls at a rate of EUR 0.15 per calling minute or per SMS for any calls made or messages sent within Germany. All calls between Alice landline connections and Alice Mobile SIM cards assigned to one contract are free of charge.

SIM cards for “Alice Mobile” are also available without landline or DSL subscription. While the basic postpaid price plan with short minimum term comes without monthly charge, tariff options are more expensive when booked with a short minimum term. For example, the “Mobile Surf-Flat” then costs EUR 9,90 per month. Hansenet offers further tariff options to “Alice Mobile” such as a flat rate tariff for mobile phone calls to home phones in Germany or a flat rate tariff for accessing the internet via netbook or notebook with 5 GB data volume for data transfers with UMTS speed.
