In a loose order we present individual price plans with a short minimum term for home phone, mobile phone or internet users in Germany. This time we give you all important details on the DSL package “DSL 16000 flex” of the provider Easybell. This DSL package includes a DSL line with data transmission rates of up to 16 mbps (download) and up to 1 mbps (upload) and a flat rate tariff for accessing the internet. The monthly charge for the user amounts to EUR 15.99, the set-up fee amounts to EUR 69.00. Currently, new subscribers pay only EUR 9.99 per month over the first half year. DSL hardware is available at the Easybell web shop for prices starting at EUR 39.00 for a Thomson Speedtouch 546 router. The Easybell DSL package comes with a short minimum term of just one month.

However: This DSL package of Easybell is only available in combination with a landline of Deutsche Telekom (T-Home), which causes additional costs of EUR 18.95 per month for an analog line and – for new T-Home customers – of EUR 59.95 once for set-up. The subscriber will get two different bills: one by Deutsche Telekom for phone calls and one by Easybell for the internet access.

The user of “DSL 16000 flex” package can make regular home phone calls at Deutsche Telekom rates or by using call by call. Alternatively, he or she can also make phone calls via pre-selection at Easybell rates. Easybell offers a flat rate tariff for phone calls to other German home phones for EUR 5.99 per month. For phone calls to mobile phones in Germany the subscriber will be charged EUR 0.098 per minute. Easybell rates for international calls are reasonable for certain countries: They range between EUR 0.019 and EUR 0.039 per minute for calling home phones in countries such as Finland, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Sweden as well as Canada and the United States. For calling mobile phones in these countries the Easybell customers pay between EUR 0.17 and EUR 0.19 per minute.

Comparison to Complete Packages of Competitors

All in all the new Easybell subscriber pays nearly EUR 130.00 for set-up of the home phone and DSL connection and a monthly fee of nearly EUR 35.00 (without a flat rate tariff for home phone calls). Other broadband providers such as Hansenet (Alice), Mnet oder Netcologne offer complete packages for home phone and DSL access that are cheaper than the Easybell price plan. However, DSL subscribers of Easybell can still use call by call and save money when making a lot of phone calls to mobile phones or to other countries. “DSL 16000 flex” is available throughout Germany and can be ordered at www.easybell.de.
