German broadband Internet provider Hansenet (Alice) takes a second shot at marketing highspeed VDSL lines. This week the ISP will start offering VDSL lines with flat rate tariffs for surfing the web and home phone calls to other landlines in Germany and with data transfer speeds of up to 50 mbps (download) and 10 mbps (upload). New subscribers ordering the new VDSL package “Alice Speed” of Hansenet until the end of October will have to pay just € 29.90 per month for it. New subscribers ordering “Alice Speed” later than that will probably have to pay a monthly fee of € 39.90.

The VDSL package “Alice Speed” will be available at Hansenet stores or at www.alice.de with a long minimum term commitment of 24 months and a short minimum term commitment of just one month. New customers agreeing to a short minimum term commitment will have to pay an one-time set-up fee of € 99.90.

According to Hansenet, the new VDSL lines will be based on the Telefónica infrastructure and be available for every tenth household in Germany. In October, the company will offer a DSL only version called “Alice Light Speed”, as well. There is also a another variant called “Alice Comfort Speed” including more service features such as free hotline calls and a guaranteed time to repair which costs € 39.90 (later on € 49.90) per month.
