Picture: Hansenet/Alice

The following home phone packages of providers in Germany come with a minimum term commitment of one month. The telephone connection might be based on an analog line, ISDN, Next Generation Networks (NGN) or classical voice over IP. For a landline with ISDN features, the home phone providers charge higher monthly fees than for an analog connection. Sometimes, provider also include a DSL connection into the home phone package.

For example, the Fun package of Alice and the Maxi Komplett package of M-net already include a double flat rate tariff for unlimited Internet access and for unlimited fixed-line calls to other home phones in Germany. In all other packages, customers pay per minute for each home phone call. Alice also offers a flat rate option for home calls to fixed lines in all European countries, Australia, Canada and the United States for € 4.90 per month.
