German no-frills mobile phone provider Klarmobil offers four different price plans for mobile internet users with a short minimum term of just one month. Among them, there are two flat rate tariffs for mobile access by cell phone, netbook, or notebook. The first flat rate offer Internet Flat 500 costs 9.95 euros per month and provides 500 MB for data transfers with EDGE or UMTS speed each month. The second flat rate price plan Internet Flat 5000 costs 19.95 euros per month and includes 5 GB for data transfers higher than GPRS speed. Klarmobil uses the mobile network of o2 Germany which enables download speeds of up to 7.2 mbps.

New customers also pay 9.95 euros for the SIM card and can also keep an existing mobile phone number by request. Klarmobil also offers a starter package for 99.95 euros which includes a SIM card as well as an UMTS surf stick (4G Systems XS Stick W12), which supports GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, and HSDPA with data transfer rates of up to 7.2 mbps. People purchasing the starter package with surf stick can also get a credit of one month free access to the internet via the network of o2 Germany. The credit expires after three months.

In stores like Media Markt or Saturn the surf stick XS Stick W12 is available for about 80 euros without SIM card or contract.
