Tonight at 21:00h CET it’s show time again: In Moscow singers and bands from 25 nations try to win the 54th Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). Fans of the Eurovision Song Contest will be able to watch the Grand Final show either on www.eurovision.tv or – in Germany – on the ARD TV channel. After the performances of the singers viewers in all 42 participating countries can also take part in the televote to determine the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 by makiing a phone call or sending a SMS for their favorite song.

Viewers of the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 living or staying in Germany who want to participate in the televote should do this either by making a home phone call or by sending a SMS. Home phone calls are charged with 14 cents, SMS votes with not more than 20 cents. Fans voting for their favorite ESC singer by making a phone call with their German cell phone pay up to 1.29 euros for each call – depending on their mobile phone provider. With a prepaid SIM card of providers such as Bildmobil, E-Plus or Klarmobil pay at least 1 Euro per televote call.

In Germany, phone calls for the televote for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 go to 01371 – 3636 (plus starting number of the singer), SMS to 40100 (plus starting number of the singer). Participants in the televoting may vote up to 20 times, but not for their own country. The winner won’t be decided solely by televote: A mixture of 50 percent televote and 50 percent jury will be used instead.
