Review on HTC 7 Trophy and HTC 7 Mozart with Windows Phone 7

There are five different smart-phones in Germany running on the new Microsoft operating system Windows Phone 7, of which the HTC 7 Trophy and the HTC 7 Mozart are currently the one being sold at the cheapest price. Still, more than € 350.00 are no bargain price for a smart-phone, but the three other Windows Phone 7 devices Samsung Omnia 7, HTC HD7 and LG Optimus 7 are even more expensive.

Windows Phone 7 Smart-Phones: Features and Retail Prices in Germany

In Germany, five different smart-phones running the new Microsoft operating system Windows Phone 7 will be launched at the end of October (probably October 21st). While smart-phones from the device-makers HTC (HD7, 7 Mozart and 7 Trophy), LG (7 Optimus) and Samsung (Omnia 7) will be available at stores of the mobile operators Telekom (T-Mobile), Vodafone, O2 Germany and E-Plus, Windows Phone 7 handsets from Dell will not appear in stores in Germany. Select models of HTC, LG and Samsung will also be available at Microsoft Store locations and from Amazon. T-Mobile: One Billing Solution for Multiple App Stores

Apps expand the range of functions of smartphones: They run on the Internet or on the phone and deliver news, weather or status updates of social networking contacts, offer direct access to web pages and online services, open documents and email attachments or help in another way. Such applications can be downloaded from web portals to the mobile for free or at cost. The most well-known app store is the App Store service for the iPhone, the iPod Touch and the iPad which is part of the Apple iTunes Store. Here users can find applications developed with the iPhone Software Developer Kit (SDK). But there are several other app stores by different operators around. The problem with all these different download and mobile device platforms is: They are not fully compatible. In fact, most systems are rather walled gardens with apps especially developed for their mobile systems and with specific download platforms pegged to.
