This Thursday, February 2nd, German discount supermarket Aldi Süd will offer the Android smartphone Medion Life P4310 for € 199.00. The Medion Life P4310 is built by Chinese manfucaturer ZTE and comes unlocked. The smartphone features a large touchscreen, Android Gingerbread and a 5-megapixel camera. The Medion Life P4310 is identical in construction as the Base Lutea 2 promoted by German operator E-Plus.

No-frills provider Fonic will launch a new prepaid price plan called “Fonic Smart” for smart-phone users on October 4th. The new price plan costs € 29.95 per month and includes 500 units for mobile phone calls and/or SMS within Germany as well as a mobile data flat rate tariff for surfing the web over the mobile network of Telefónica Germany (O2).

This Monday, German no-frills provider Fonic will launch a call-through service called “Fonic Call Home”. This new call-through service offers Fonic customers to make phone calls from 15 selected countries to Germany for rates of € 0.09 (to home phones in Germany) or € 0.29 (to mobile phones) per minute. However, the Fonic customers cannot make these call-through phone by mobile phone – “Fonic Call Home” is only available at landline connections.
