The new messaging service Yuilop offers free SMS messages and community chats on Android smart-phones and Android tablets. A beta version of the application can now be downloaded from the Android Market for free. Apple has introduced its new tablet iPad 2 and cut purchase prices for the first iPad. In Germany, the new iPad 2 will be available on March 25th – two weeks later than in the United States. And Apple hasn’t announced yet how much money the new iPad 2 will cost in Apple stores in Germany. In the United States the Apple tablet will cost between $ 499.00 for the iPad 2 WiFi with 16 GB memory and $ 829.00 for the iPad 2 WiFi + 3G with 64 GB storage capacity. That means: The new iPad 2 will debut with the exact same price as the iPad 1 did last year in April.

From the end of April, Telekom will be offering customers the tablet PC Motorola Xoom with Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) operating system for € 699.95. The version featuring UMTS mobile telecommunications technology for mobile data transmission will be available exclusively through Deutsche Telekom for 90 days.
