Vodafone Offers Websessions Day Flat Rate for Mobile Internet
Mobile phone operator Vodafone has relaunched the Websessions day flat rate for mobile internet access via GPRS, EDGE, UMTS or HSDPA. The day flat rate price plan costs 4.95 euros and offers 24 hours for mobile internet access. Websessions can be used with any SIM of Vodafone, for example with a Callya prepaid SIM card, the customers is only charged for actual usage of the mobile internet access. Simultaneously, data traffic is limited to 1 GB. For Websessions, it is necessary to use the APN “event.vodafone.de” instead of “web.vodafone.de”.
Vodafone sells a new SIM card with the UMTS surf stick K3565, which supports HSDPA with up to 3.6 mbps download speed, for 39.90 euros. Vodafone also offers other Websessions price plans for mobile data services for the use within Germany or outside of the country. For example, for Websessions with a two hour access to the internet via GPRS or UMTS the customers is charged 1.95 euros. 7-day Websessions cost 9.95 euros.
Other mobile operators such as T-Mobile, E-Plus or o2 Germany offer day flat rate price plans to mobile internet users, as well. Customers of T-Mobile pay 4.95 euros for a one-day mobile internet access, customers of E-Plus and o2 Germany 3 euros respectively 3.50 euros.
